“Within the multiverse and chaos that inhabit my mind, there is a survival mechanism through which I contemplate the beauty hidden around me” Suyay Herrera
Suyay Herrera was born in 1990 in Uznach, Switzerland. When she was two years old, her parents decided to return to Misiones, Argentina, where they lived mainly in Puerto Iguazú. In 2014, she completed her degree in Fine Arts at the Faculty of Art and Design of the National University of Misiones (U.Na.M.) in Oberá.
She has participated in various conferences and courses organized by the same faculty. She was selected for the 2013 Scientific Vocations Incentive Scholarship. In 2017, in search of new adventures, she traveled through Australia and India for six months. In Australia, she worked as a life model in a painters’ studio and taught yoga classes.
In mid-2019, she moved to Zurich, Switzerland, seeking new work experiences and aiming to raise funds for a new, fully equipped production studio.
She currently lives on the outskirts of Zurich with her partner Gustavo and their daughter Vera. She works, teaches independent ceramics workshops, and produces and sells her pieces.
Her most prominent artistic practices in recent years include photography, ceramics, and painting, as well as explorations in digital illustration.
